Certified Data Center Risk Professional (CDRP®) (exam incl.) (English)

Lesmethode : Klassikaal Algemeen : Data centres are at the core of many organisations. Downtime of applications or the data centre itself could lead to major direct and indirect losses to the business. This has led many organisations to build resilience at various levels such as at the data center infrastructure and at the ICT layer. Fact is that most companies are either overspending - or underspending due to the fact that they have no idea what the cost of downtime is per application and/or the data centre itself. Without knowing the cost of downtime it would be impossible to determine what level of investment is justified to mitigate the risks of downtime. For this reason many data centres have been built at a potentially Tier-4 level as per the TIA-942, where, as from a business perspective, a Tier-3 level would have been sufficient. Risk management is the process to identify vulnerabilities and associated threats, to be followed by estimating the level of risk that they may face and how they might impact the organization if these risks were to emerge. Based on international standards (ISO/IEC27001:2005) and guidelines (ISO/IEC 27005:2011, NIST 800-30, ISO/IEC 31000/31010), this course is designed to teach you about to the overall risk management process. Focus of this course is on both the data centre infrastructure and the physical data centre facility and equipment. You will learn how to identify and quantify risks in your organisation, creating the ability to reduce the risk to a level acceptable for the organization to allow them to make sound investment decisions based on facts rather than emotions. CDRP is a must for every organisation that wants to manage their risk without overspending. Certification After completing the course, you will be prepared for the internationally recognised EPI exam. The certificate is valid for three years. Exam at the training location As standard, you will take the exam at the training location on the final course day. The exam is delivered digitally via EXIN Online. You must bring your own laptop with a working browser and internet connection. The trainer will act as the exam supervisor. Online exam at a later time If you attend the course online via Microsoft Teams, are unable to be physically present on the final course day, or there is insufficient time to take the exam during the course, you will receive an EXIN Anywhere voucher. This allows you to take the exam online at a time of your choice. Doel : #Understand the different standards and methodologies for risk management and assessment #Establish the required project team for risk management #Perform the risk assessment identifying current threats, vulnerabilities and the potential impact based on customized threat catalogues #Report on the current risk level of the data centre both quantitative and qualitative #Anticipate and minimizing potential financial impacts #Understand the options for handling risk #Continuously monitor and review the status of data center risk present #Reduce the frequency and magnitude of incidents #Detect and respond to events when they occur #Meet regulatory and compliance requirements #Support certification processes such as ISO/IEC 27001:2005 #Support overall corporate and IT governance Doelgroep : The primary audience for this course is an IT, Facilities or data centre Operations professional working in and around the data centre (representing both end-customers and/or service provider/facilitators) and having responsibility to achieve and improve high availability and manageability of the data centre. Certified Data Center Expert - CDCE® (exam incl.) (English)

Nieuwegein ma 6 sep. 2027
Lesmethode : Klassikaal Algemeen : Participants must hold a valid CDCS certificate in order to register for the CDCE class. With few exceptions, enterprises today rely on IT for the delivery of business-critical services - often directly to the end consumer. It is therefore vital that the mission critical data center is designed, maintained and operated with hi-availability and efficiency in mind. Fact is, however, that most Datacenters do not meet the full availability, capacity, safety or efficiency requirements often demanded. The ever changing technologies put even more pressure on datacenter managers along with the faster pace at which these changes are required. The Certified Datacenter Expert course is a five-day course designed to prepare participants to analyze a given business case and perform technical evaluation for a project plan and a set of designs for implementation of a mission critical Data Center. The course also engages participants in product evaluations and demonstrates how to select equipment and develop equipment test scripts (IET) and integrated performance and validation testing (IPVT). CDCE builds upon knowledge gained in CDCP and CDCS courses. Participants who pass the exam will join the industry's elite Datacenter project design experts Certification After completing the course, you will be prepared for the internationally recognised EPI exam. Doel : Choose an optimum site for mission critical Data Centers based on current and future needs Describe all components important for hi-availability in a Data Center and how to effectively setup the Data Center Understand the design lifecycle stages for Datacenter build projects and the phases involved in project execution Analyze a business case and develop a project brief that is aimed at fullling the business resilience, site selection and design requirements for a t-for-purpose and suitably redundant mission critical Datacenter Conduct technical level design reviews for a given set of preliminary design documents and perform a technical compliance audit of a set of final design development documents compliant to TIA standards Understand how to read electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLE) and other related design documents, and be able to detect the most common design mistakes Evaluate product datasheets and discriminate among technical specications and functional requirements for suitability against a set of given design requirements for a given site and business case Correlate equipment specications to site design constraints, such as room size and space, oor loading capacity, cooling capacity, power quality conditions and maintenance requirements while ensuring equipment selection does not compromise desired tier level compliance Develop Individual Equipment Test (IET) and Integrated Performance and Validation Test (IPVT) plans for a mission critical Datacenter Develop guidelines and checklists for hand-over of a mission critical Datacenter facility, its architectural, mechanical, electrical, IT elements and documentation Develop retirement plans for decommissioning and hand-over of an aged mission critical Data Centre facility. Doelgroep : The primary audience for this course is an IT, facilities or Datacenter Operations professional working in and around the data centre and having oversight accountability or responsibility for achieving and improving high availability and manageability of the Datacenter and involved in the design/build, renovation or relocation of a mission critical Datacenter.
