Training Crucial Conversations voor aanspreken op verantwoordelijkheid - Feedback geven en ontvangen
Vaardigheden voor het oplossen van ongewenst gedrag en niet-nagekomen afspraken
Binnen een organisatie heeft gemiddeld 95% van alle medewerkers er moeite mee om collega’s op hun verantwoordelijkheden aan te spreken. Als reden geven zij aan te denken niet bevoegd te zijn of niet over de juiste vaardigheden te beschikken om het onderwerp aan te snijden. Dit brengt voor de organisatie aanzienlijke kosten met zich mee en het ondermijnd de relatie tussen de medewerkers. Als accountability gesprekken slecht worden aangepakt of worden genegeerd, heeft dat tot gevolg dat de gewenste resultaten achter blijven bij de persoon zelf, de medewerker, het team, of de externe relatie en dus uiteindelijk voor de gehele organisatie. Het ongewenste gedrag blijft bestaan, of wordt onder ‘dwang’ opgelost, maar dat gaat vaak ten koste van de onderlinge relatie. Sterke relaties en betere resultaten ontstaan als men accountability gesprekken leert herkennen en de ander verantwoordelijk weet te houden voor het gedrag en hem of haar tot actie kan bewegen.
Voor het goed voeren van moeilijke functioneringsgesprekken is de training Crucial Accountability uitermate geschikt. Wanneer een leidinggevende ineffectief of zelfs ongewenst gedrag van een medewerker graag wil ombuigen naar effectief gedrag, dan vormt het model en de vaardigheden van deze training de oplossing.
Wat is een accountability gesprek?
Een accountability gesprek is een gesprek tussen twee of meer personen, waarbij veel op het spel staat. In dit gesprek staat de afgesproken prestatie, de verwachting centraal. Het gaat daarbij vooral om het feit dat die verwachting niet is waargemaakt. Er ontstaat een kloof tussen dat wat men verwachtte en dat wat daadwerkelijk is waargenomen. Tijdens dit soort gesprekken blijkt dat mensen vaak starten met het uiten van emotie en frustratie. Men vindt het vervolgens lastig om in dialoog te blijven, echt te luisteren en om zonder dwang of machtspositie de ander zover te krijgen dat het niet weer gebeurt. Men grijpt vaak naar eenvoudige, of directe oplossingen, maar die zijn vaak niet effectief. Men gaat de taak nogmaals uitleggen, men stuurt reminders, of gebruikt sancties. Hierdoor wordt het echte probleem niet opgelost. In plaats van maar één oplossing in te zetten, gaat de echte professional in accountability gesprekken eerst een diagnose stellen, samen met de persoon in kwestie. Zes bronnen van invloed en diagnostische vragen zorgen voor een constructief accountability gesprek.
Accountability is een breder en vooral constructiever begrip dan feedback.
Voor wie?
De training is waardevol voor iedereen die afhankelijk is van de inspanning van anderen. Dit, op elk niveau van de organisatie (van de werkvloer tot directie). Deelnemers willen graag leren om anderen aan te spreken op hun verantwoordelijkheden, zonder de relatie te beschadigen, maar juist te versterken. In de training Crucial Accountability leren de deelnemers:
iedereen binnen de organisatie op hun verantwoordelijkheden aan te spreken, ongeacht positie;
effectieve functioneringsgesprekken te voeren, door positieve resultaten te behalen en een goede verstandhouding te hebben met collega’s;
anderen te motiveren zonder daarbij macht uit te oefenen, door duidelijk feedback te geven, de gevolgen uit te leggen en een oplossing aan te bieden;
projecten op schema te houden zonder ze over te nemen, door obstakels weg te nemen en anderen te helpen.
De opbouw van de training
Crucial Accountability is ontstaan uit wetenschappelijk onderzoek wat heeft geleid tot een praktisch en toepasbaar model, waarbij vaardigheden van Crucial Conversations worden gecombineerd met de 6 bronnen van invloed.
Leermethode
We maken gebruik van een unieke leermethode gebaseerd op de laatste onderzoeken over effectief leren. De deelnemers ontvangen een voorbereidingsopdracht voorafgaand aan de training, bestaande uit het maken van de accountability test ‘Wat zou ik doen’, het lezen van hoofdstuk één van de Nederlandse uitgave van het boek Crucial Accountability en het beschrijven van één of twee persoonlijke voorbeelden van Crucial Accountability. Vervolgens wordt er tijdens de training gestart met de het leren van de negen vaardigheden. Na iedere vaardigheid gaat iedere deelnemer met de eigen voorbeelden oefenen. Dit gebeurt in tafelgroepen, trio’s en er worden tweetallen gevormd: zogenaamde leerpartner duo’s. Met de leerpartner kan men de echt persoonlijke zaken doornemen die nodig zijn om de eigen voorbeelden om te zetten naar actie en resultaat. Tijdens de groepsoefeningen wordt er tevens aandacht besteedt aan de gezamenlijke voorbeelden die naar voren zijn gekomen. Er wordt geen gebruik gemaakt van de traditionele methode met het opnemen van rollenspelen met de camera. Onze moderne lesmethode is gestructureerd, interactief en vooral zeer effectief.
Ongelimiteerd herhalen
Iedere deelnemer binnen ons open programma heeft het recht om de training zo vaak te herhalen als nodig is. Men betaalt dan alleen nog de accommodatiekosten. Voor wie is deze cursus?
Advocaten, advocaat-stagiaires, notarissen, (bedrijfs-)juristen, directieleden, partners, vennoten, managers en anderen die hun juridisch Engels en zakelijke Engels (nog verder) willen verbeteren.
Cursus juridisch Engels met mondelinge en schriftelijke praktijkoefeningen. Met deze cursus leert u uw taalvaardigheid in een juridische context te vergroten.
Het Engels is de taal van de internationale zakenwereld. Voor juristen is een goede beheersing van het Engels een absolute noodzaak.
Wie cliënten in het Engels adviseert staat voor een dubbele uitdaging. Het vereist niet alleen schakelen tussen twee talen, maar ook tussen twee sterk van elkaar verschillende rechtssystemen: civil law en common law. Het is vaak onmogelijk begrippen één op één te vertalen, omdat achtergrond en context te zeer verschillen. Een letterlijke vertaling leidt dan tot verwarring, of erger: ongewenste gevolgen.
De cursus kijkt naar problemen bij het vertalen van rechtsbegrippen, aandachtspunten bij het opstellen van internationale overeenkomsten, veel voorkomende fouten van Nederlanders in het Engels en hoe die te vermijden, en cultureel gepaste manieren van communiceren in advies-, overleg- en onderhandelingssituaties.
Verder werken we aan het verfijnen van het zakelijk Engels in e-mails en calls.
De intensieve cursus vereist een actieve deelname van u. Theoretische inleidingen worden afgewisseld met schriftelijke en mondelinge oefeningen, zodat u het geleerde direct in de praktijk kunt brengen. Alle oefeningen bevatten juridische vocabulaire en inhoud.

DocentMargo Bink is na haar studie Engels in Utrecht (scriptie over vertalen) gaan werken als juridisch tolk en vertaler. Na het volgen van postacademische cursussen over het vertalen van contracten, civiel recht en notarieel recht is zij haar specifieke juridische taalkennis gaan delen als trainer. Zij geeft masterclasses notarieel vertalen aan vakgenoten (onroerend goed, relatievermogensrecht en erfrecht), en trainingen zakelijk en juridisch Engels aan notarissen (ondernemingsrecht) en makelaars (via de Academie voor Vastgoed). Verder ontwikkelde ze incompany trainingen juridisch Engels voor een groot internationaal georiënteerd advocatenkantoor en voor de Vrouwenrechtswinkel in Amsterdam.

Ayurvedische Massage met Yoga
Ayurvedische massage is een vrij stevige massage die gebruik maakt van speciale (op de persoon afgestemde) warme olie. De massage kan worden uitgevoerd met druk en wrijftechnieken, waarbij niet alleen gebruik gemaakt wordt van de platte handen, maar ook van de vuist, de onderarmen en de zijkant van de handen. Er zijn vele technieken en elke techniek heeft een naam. Dit maakt het makkelijker te onthouden. Het is een complete lichaamsmassage ‘van top tot teen’, waarbij ook het hoofd met olie gemasseerd wordt.
Door de massage worden ook marma-punten (speciale energetische punten te vergelijken met acupressuurpunten) gestimuleerd. Dit heeft een ontgiftend, maar ook een stimulerend en een ontspannend effect. Er wordt gemasseerd op massagetafels en niet op de grond.
De opleiding is bedoeld voor mensen die een verantwoorde (gezondheidsbevorderende) massage willen leren geven. Dit kunnen therapeuten zijn, die een aanvulling op hun behandeling zoeken, maar ook schoonheidsspecialisten die deze vorm van massage willen aanbieden aan hun cliënten. Deze opleiding kan ook gevolgd worden door mensen die nog nooit iets met massage hebben gedaan en die het of in eigen kring, of in een eigen praktijk willen toepassen.
Elke lesdag is er een uur yoga en pranayama (ademhalingstechnieken). Naast een goede massagetechniek en kennis van de theorie is intuïtie, voelen, een goede ademhaling en een goede verdeling van de eigen energie belangrijk. Door het beoefenen van yoga en pranayama kan dit worden geleerd. Bovendien kunnen de yoga en de ademhalingstechnieken aan cliënten worden meegegeven als ondersteuning van de massage behandeling.
