What does the Scrum Product Owner training entail?
During the Professional Scrum Product Owner training, the essence and principles of Agile and Scrum are introduced. Subsequently, the responsibilities of the Product Owner are discussed. The Product Owner works with the rest of the team and other players inside and outside the organization to deliver the highest possible value. A Product Owner can grow into a true entrepreneur within the organization in his or her role.
Scrum is the most popular and common Agile way of working that is based on Toyota's Lean method. This framework was invented by Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber for software development and has been used since 1995 . At Scrum, the emphasis is on communication with the customer, the Team Member and other stakeholders. The Professional Scrum Owner training is suitable for IT and non-IT projects within organizations. According to research firm Standish Group, nearly 80% of European organizations plan to adopt Agile and Scrum in the near future.
Within Scrum there are only 3 roles; the Product Owner, the Scrum Master and the Team Member. As a Product Owner you deal with questions such as:
