Werken volgens de BEI en VIAG is voor de netwerkbedrijven in Nederlandse elektriciteitssector al jarenlang één van de richtlijnen die mede hebben bijgedragen aan een hogere veiligheid en minder incidenten. Het O&O Fonds NWb heeft voor de netwerk- en aannemingsbedrijven (digitaal) BEI- en VIAG-opleidingsmaterialen ontwikkeld en beschikbaar gemaakt. Jaarlijks vindt er een wijzigingsrelease op basis van de regelgeving plaats.
Stipel-certificering
Om te kunnen waarborgen dat werknemers veilig werken om bedrijfsongevallen te voorkomen, is Stipel (www.stipel.nl) in het leven geroepen. Stipel zorgt ervoor dat werknemers hun kennis over veilig werken met gas en elektriciteit kunnen aantonen met een certificaat dat in de gehele branche wordt geaccepteerd (Stipel, 2020). Zonder certificaat mag er niet gewerkt worden in de energietechniek. In de huidige situatie is het certificaat 3 jaar geldig.

The course Julia Computing starts with an overview of Julia's JIT compiler and package installation and how Julia can also be run online with JuliaBox in combination with Jupyter notebooks. Also discussed are the main features of Julia such as Parallel Processing, Multiple Dispatch and Homoiconic Macros.
Julia Syntax
Then the Julia language is treated with variables, data types, operators, classes and objects and control flow structures. Composite data structures such as arrays, sets, dictionaries and matrices and operations on them such as generator expressions and broadcasting are also discussed.
Functions in Julia
Also part of the program of the course Julia Computing are functions in Julia. Functions with multiple inputs and outputs and variable argument lists are treated and as well as anonymous functions and higher order functions such as map and reduce.
Plotting with Julia

Lua Intro
The course starts with an explanation of the Lua Software system, the Lua Interpreter, the Lua Compiler and the SciTE IDE.
Lua Syntax
The Lua language syntax, the variables and data types, the difference between RValues and LValues, operators, control flow and Lua modules are also discussed.
Functions
Then defining and calling functions in Lua is treated with parameter passing, function scope and return values. Lua also supports functional programming and in this context attention is paid to functions as variables, functions as return values and closures.
Data Structures and Classes
Also part of the course program are data structures and classes and objects in Lua. Arrays, iterators and tables are discussed and the concepts of inheritance, overriding and polymorphism are explained and demonstrated.
Threads and Coroutines
Then multithreading and coroutines are on the course schedule. It is discussed how different tasks can be executed in parallel in multiple threads and how coroutines transfer control to each other with yield and resume.
Lua Data Access
Finally the course ends with the treatment of data access from Lua applications. Both accessing files and accessing relational databases are treated.

Scrum en Agile
The course starts with an introduction in the background of Scrum and the Agile Manifesto. The different roles in Scrum such as Product Owner and Scrum Master are discussed. And also Ceremonies, Planning, Daily meeting and Review are treated. Furthermore attention is paid to Requirements Gathering, User Stories and Acceptation Criteria.
Scrum Artifacts
Subsequently Scrum artifacts such as Stories and Product Backlog are on the agenda and the division of activities in Sprints and Best Practices in Scrum are discussed.
Self Organizing Teams
During the training the participants are part of a Scrum Development Team so that they can experience how a self-organizing team functions and what it involves. The participants learn how the team can deliver software in every Sprint that can in principle be put into production immediately.

During the training the participants are part of a Scrum Development Team that develops an application. In this way they can experience how a self-organizing team works and what is involved in it. Course times are from 9.30 to 16.30.
Certification Scrum for Developers
After successful completion of the course the participants receive an official certificate Scrum for Developers. Participants can also take the online exam 'Professional Scrum Developer'.
