This course enables students to perform AIX Live Update operations on the AIX operating system. This includes installing interim fixes, service packs and technology levels using the AIX Live Update capability.
Students in this course will learn how to implement AIX Live Update. Students will also be exposed to the different management types for live update and learn skills required to install AIX updates, such as technology levels, service packs and interim fixes, without requiring downtime (a reboot) for the server.
Best practices and testing methods for live update will be discussed, providing students with the knowledge to effectively configure and manage live update in a production environment. Additionally, students will learn skills to troubleshoot and debug live update issues.

Voor de meeste mensen met serieuze geldzorgen is het een hele stap om hulp te vragen. Onderzoeken laten zien dat mensen met problematische schulden al snel vijf jaar wachten voordat ze om hulp vragen. Het doel van een vroegsignaleringsgesprek is om te verkennen wat er speelt en als mensen hulp nodig hebben om die aan te bieden. De ervaring leert dat buitenstaanders vaak eerder door hebben dat er (professionele) hulp nodig is dan de mensen die worstelen met schulden. In dat licht heeft een goed vroegsignaleringsgesprek een aantal kenmerken.
Kenmerken van een professioneel vroegsignaleringsgesprek
Om te beginnen voelt de ander zich niet overvallen (terwijl dat feitelijk misschien wel is wat er gebeurt), voelt zich niet beoordeeld of afgewezen en niet onder druk gezet om hulp te accepteren. In deze warme context wordt de ander uitgenodigd om te overwegen wat er speelt en wat (professionele) hulp daarbij kan betekenen. Door de ander vooral uit te nodigen de eigen situatie te doordenken groeit de kans dat iemand in wil stappen op hulp en ook daadwerkelijk in actie komt.
Onderwerpen die centraal staan zijn:
• Hoe open je een gesprek? Wat zijn daarbij verschillen aan de deur of aan de telefoon?
• Hoe open je een gesprek als je iemand al wel kent en hoe als je iemand nog niet kent?
• Hoe doorbreek je zaken zoals schaamte, weerstand of wantrouwen?
• Hoe bepaal je of de ander al klaar is voor een hulpaanbod?
• Wat doe je als de ander de ernst van de situatie nog niet inziet?
• Wat doe je als iemand niet wil praten vanwege teleurstellende ervaringen in het verleden?
Wat weet en kun je na afloop van deze cursusmodule?

• Handvatten om een dergelijk gesprek te voeren
• Inzicht in de strategische vragen die er onder een vroegsignaleringsgesprek liggen

• Verkenning van veelvoorkomende reacties op een vroegsignaleringsgesprek en verklaring van wat daar onder ligt
• Verkenning van de doelen van vroegsignalering
• Leren wat ijsbrekers zijn om het gesprek te openen
• Do’s en don‘ts om echt met de ander in gesprek te komen

Blok II: Hoe zetten we de ander aan het denken?
• Wat maakt iemand ontvankelijk om naar een ander te luisteren?
• Hoe zorgt u ervoor dat u in een gesprek de ander ruimte geeft (zodat hij of zij zich niet onder druk gezet voelt)?
• Hoe geeft u oprechte interesse zonder dat het gesprek enorm uitloopt?
• Hoe stelt u kaders en geeft u informatie op een beknopte manier?
