Dart Intro
In the Dart Programming course participants learn the features of application development with Dart. We discuss the Dart SDK and the transpiler dart2js which generates a JavaScript equivalent of Dart Script.
Dart Syntax
Next attention is paid to data types, generics and control flow in Dart. Dart is type safe, supports type inference and prevents null pointer exceptions with a null safety mechanism.
Functions and Data Structures
The characteristics of functions and data structures in Dart are also discussed. For example data structures from the core library, runes and the mirror system are treated and optional parameters and lambda functions in functions as well.
Classes and Objects
Dart is an object-oriented language and the implementation of constructors, interfaces, exceptions and inheritance in Dart are treated. Extension methods are also covered here.
Concurrency
Finally concurrency in Dart is extensively discussed, whereby parallel tasks can be performed by multiple concurrent threads. Attention is also paid to asynchronous I/O with Dart Futures and the Async Package.

In the course GraphQL Queries participants learn the concepts of the query language GraphQL. Attention is paid to how a GraphQL Server responds to GraphQL queries. The transport neutrality of GraphQL is covered and also how GraphQL works with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
GraphQL Schema
The course proceeds to discuss GraphQL schemas that are the core of a GraphQL server implementation and describe the functionality available to clients. The different schema types and data types for the definition of a GraphQL schema are discussed.
GraphQL Queries
Then attention is paid to GraphQL queries that can be used for both read and write operations. The fields, variables, parameters and directives in GraphQL queries are treated as well as the payload of queries.
GraphQL API
The discussion of the GraphQL API is also part of the course. Use is made of tooling such as the GraphiQL Client and a GraphQL Server. The GraphQL Playground is available to experiment with the GraphQL API.
GraphQL Integration

Intro Play Framework
The course starts with a discussion of the Play Framework architecture. Also discussed is the use of the build and dependency management tool sbt and the command line utility giter8 with which files and directories are generated based on templates.
MVC Model
Next the MVC architecture is discussed and how in Play control flow, data presentation and data storage are realized. Attention is also paid to dynamic URLs and scoped objects in session and flash scope.
Views and Templates
The view in Play web applications is typically based on a template. Attention is paid to the operation of the Scala based template engine and the possible control flow constructs and variables in templates.
Concurrency
Then it's time to handle asynchronous calls and concurrency with multiple threads. The Akka Framework which is ideally suited for concurrent and distributed applications on the JVM, is therefore discussed as well.
Web Services
The course program also treats consuming Web Services in Play. The parsing of JSON data and the parsing of XML data with JAXB and Akka streaming is also explained.
Data Access
Furthermore data access from Play is treated. Object Relational Mapping and both Ebean queries and Rawsql queries are discussed.
Deployment

SQL Intro
After an introduction to relational databases and Oracle, the Oracle installation, environment and tooling, the basic aspects and backgrounds of SQL are discussed. Oracle, like other DBMS systems, has added extra features of its own to standard SQL and these are also discussed in the course.
Data Definition and Data Manipulation
In the first place the course covers how SQL statements can be created and executed in Oracle. Subsequently the various components of SQL are treated step by step, such as Data Definition Language with CREATE TABLE and Data Manipulation Language with INSERT and UPDATE.
SQL Select Queries
Next attention is paid to writing SELECT queries. The grouping of data by means of GROUP and HAVING clauses is also on the program of the course.
SQL Functions
The various functions in SQL are discussed. Among other things, the mathematical, conversion and aggregation functions for calculating sum and average are treated. Attention is also paid to features specific to Oracle.
Joins
Next the course covers how to combine data from different tables by means of joins. The various types of joins like inner and outer joins are discussed.
SET Operators

De cursus gaat van start met een bespreking van de architectuur van Play. Ook wordt ingegaan op het gebruik van het build en dependency management tool sbt en de command line utility giter8 waarmee op basis van templates files en directories worden gegenereerd.
MVC Model
Vervolgens komt de MVC architectuur aan de orde en hoe in Play control flow, data presentatie en data opslag wordt gerealiseerd. Ook wordt dan aandacht besteed aan dynamische URL's en scoped objects in session en flash scope.
Views en Templates
