This course covers the basic skills you need to write programs in a third generation language. These learned basic skills you will learn to apply in PL/SQL, Oracle's procedural programming language. This third generation language is in line with the fourth generation language SQL. PL/SQL extends the capabilities of SQL and improves performance. In this course the relation of PL/SQL with the different Oracle tools also is discussed. We also cover the basic concepts of programming in a procedural language. Naturally, we pay a lot of attention to exercises.

This course is suitable for anyone using version 11g and higher. Version dependent features are specifically indicated.

The aim of this Oracle course is to gain insight into writing programs in a procedural programming language in general, and in PL/SQL in particular.

Doelgroep :

This course is intended for individuals with little or no programming experience, who will build, design and/or maintain applications using an Oracle database and/or Oracle tools in which PL/SQL can be used (such as Oracle Developer Forms and Reports).

This course is also suitable for persons who have to deal with Oracle as a data and/or application manager.
