Opleiding: Dell PowerEdge Features, Administration and Troubleshooting with iDRAC 10 [ESSVRS08588]
OVERVIEW
This three-day instructor-led course provides an overview of Dell PowerEdge servers across the 15th, 16th, and 17th generations. Participants will learn to identify system features, perform essential administrative tasks, and apply effective troubleshooting techniques on Dell PowerEdge servers.
The course delivers best practice information through a combination of instructor-led training and hands-on lab activities using iDRAC 10. Practical skills are reinforced through scenario-based training to ensure real-world applicability.
This course is part of the recommended training path leading to the Dell PowerEdge Operate v2 Exam certification. (Note: The D-PEOE-01 certification exam is not included.)
Virtual Learning
This interactive training can be taken from any location, your office or home and is delivered by a trainer. This training does not have any delegates in the class with the instructor, since all delegates are virtually connected. Virtual delegates do not travel to this course, Global Knowledge will send you all the information needed before the start of the course and you can test the logins.
OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of this training, participants should be able to:
Identify PowerEdge platforms and distinguish their external and internal physical features.
Explore server processor, memory, power, and storage settings using the iDRAC user interface.
Examine cooling systems, I/O cards, and security configurations through the iDRAC user interface.
Analyze the features and functions of Dell PowerEdge management and monitoring interfaces, including iDRAC and related tools.
Manage virtual media and virtual console, configure lockdown mode, create virtual disks through iDRAC user interface.
Interpret visual indicators, logs and memory errors.
Recovery features such as Parts Replacement Configuration and Easy Restore enable restoration of system functionality after firmware or boot-related failures.
Applying fault isolation tools to effectively pinpoint issues across different server generations, ensuring accurate and efficient troubleshooting.
Evaluate vendor-specific GPU diagnostic tools and utilities to verify GPU detection, power delivery, and thermal conditions.
AUDIENCE
