JDBC
During this training, we will connect Java with a RDBMS using the JDBC library. This one-day ABIS course will let you understand how to create a standard database connection from a Java application, and to translate SQL calls to Java objects.
Java applications often need to access existing or new relational databases. Although most application developers make their programs in an IDE (Integrated Development Environment), having a basic knowledge on how databases are accessed from Java code is a must. This course provides the foundations on how data can be stored into and retrieved from relational databases using JDBC (Java Data Base Connectivity).

Intended for
Application developers, technical analysts and database administrators who are involved in the development of Java applications that access relational databases.
Backgroud

DB2 for LUW fundamentals course (EN/NL/FR)
This 3-day ABIS course thoroughly explains the basic characteristics of the Db2 for LUW database system and provides practical exercises. Extremely useful for anyone who will eventually work with Db2 for LUW - analysts, developers, administrators, .... Classroom presentation, interactive session! Prior knowledge of SQL is recommended.
Db2 for Linux, Unix and Windows (abbreviated as Db2 for LUW, previously also called DB2 UDB) is IBM's database platform for distributed platforms. In order to be able to work effectively with this Db2 system - regardless of your task or background - you need to have a certain basic knowledge. That knowledge is provided by this course. Useful, both if the system is actively used in-house, or if it runs more as a black-box to support third-party applications.
Combined with the course SQL and relational databases fundamentals, this course forms a balanced whole, so that after completing it, one has a 'total overview' of Db2 for LUW as a database system. You should be ready to get started independently with it immediately!
We refer users on the zOS platform to the Db2 for z/OS fundamentals course.
During this basic course the following topics are covered:
the structure of Db2 for LUW - system/instance and database;

DB2 for z/OS fundamentals course (EN/NL/FR)
In this 3-day ABIS training, you learn how Db2 for z/OS is set up, and you get familiar with its most important tools and database objects.
This course gives you a detailed description of the Db2 system on z/OS: what it is, what it is intended for, how it can be used, and how it relates to (or differs from) other RDBMS.
We'll dive into topics like

We also learn to use the system in practice.
At the end of the training, the participant will not only have the necessary theoretical knowledge of Db2 as an RDBMS, but also have had sufficient practical training to start working with Db2 in an independent way.

Backgroud

IBM MQ fundamentals
This 2-day ABIS training thoroughly explains the Message Oriented Middleware concepts specific to IBM MQ. Interactive, live presented classroom course aimed at anyone who will be working with MQ: (beginning) system administrators, application developers and designers. Basic knowledge of application development is not strictly necessary.
This course is the ultimate course that gives an insight in the use of the message queuing technique as implemented through the IBM Message Queuing (MQ) software. Originally meant to help out in a client/server environment, a product like IBM MQ currently gets a lot of renewed attention in an SOA context. By using the IBM MQ product, the course shows how to work safely and efficiently in a C/S environment built around a Q-infrastructure. A lot of companies depend on IBM MQ infrastructure for reliable transmission of information.
At the end of this base course, participants will:
be able to describe the typical characteristics of a IBM MQ environment;
have an insight into the configuration and use of the product and its objects;
understand what IBM MQ can and cannot do for you;
understand the different ways IBM MQ objects can be accessed and used in applications based on the Messaging technique.
Participants will also learn 'when' and 'why' this technique can be used. Technical concepts will be discussed, a good practical understanding of the IBM MQ product as a basis for infrastructure design as well as troubleshooting is the goal of the course.

Naast onze workshop ‘Henna Brows & Threading’ kun je ook kiezen voor deze workshop met waxing. Je leert de wenkbrauw te shapen door middel van de technieken met een filmwax. Deze type hars is een harde hars en wordt als een dunne laag aangebracht en zonder strips verwijderd. Deze techniek is erg populair en efficiënt in gebruik om de wenkbrauw precies te shapen en stylen.
Wat leer je?
Tijdens deze workshop leer je de waxing techniek met filmhars voor het perfect ontharen van de wenkbrauwen. Daarnaast leer je het modelleren en kleuren van de wenkbrauwen met Henna op je eigen model.
Henna Brows
De wenkbrauwen verven met henna is een techniek om de wenkbrauwen op te vullen. In tegenstelling tot reguliere wenkbrauwverf, verft henna ook de huid, hierdoor lijken de wenkbrauwen nog voller. Het verven met henna is ook ideaal voor klanten met permanente make-up. Henna doet de kleur van de getatoeëerde wenkbrauw weer herleven. Daarnaast is het voor klanten met grijze wenkbrauwen de perfecte oplossing. Henna brows blijven ongeveer 5-10 dagen op de huid en ongeveer 6 weken op de wenkbrauwharen zitten. Dit is mede afhankelijk van het type huid van het model.

Wat leer je?
Tijdens deze workshop leer je de threading techniek voor het perfect ontharen van de wenkbrauwen. Daarnaast leer je het modelleren en kleuren van de wenkbrauwen met Henna op je eigen model.
Threading
Threading, ook wel epileren met touw, is een eeuwenoude Aziatisch epileer methode. Bij threading worden katoenen garen tussen de tanden en vingers gespannen. Hierna worden de draden over de ongewenste haren gesleept. Op deze manier draaien de haartjes in de garen waardoor ze vanaf de wortel verwijderd worden. Met de threading techniek kunnen de wenkbrauwen strak gestileerd worden.
Henna Brows
