Opleiding: NEN 3140 Skilled Person - Dag

The ROVC training to be able to work independently on cabinets and groups and to be appointed as a NEN 3140 Skilled Person.

Do you work on switch boxes and live machines and/or perform inspections on them? And do you prefer to use English as your working language? Then this is the perfect training course for you. This training lasts two days, one day of which is practical. You will learn how to disconnect and connect motors and to measure and replace fuses and cartridges.

Who is this training course for

Are you working on power-controlled enclosures and/or do you carry out inspections on them? Then the training NEN 3140 Skilled person is meant for you. This course is also suitable for you if you wish to be appointed as a Skilled person by your employer. You will be trained at level: Maintain

Prior technical education is required. At least lower technical vocational school (LTS), Electrical Switch Technology or similar is a prerequisite.

Course content

• Discussing your work environment through workplace assignments
• How to work safely in electrical engineering
• Risk assessment
• How to disconnect electrical installations from the power supply following predetermined steps
• Working, measuring or operating a powered installation
• Laws and regulations
• Cases about the above subjects as preparation for the practical lab sessions

Study Load
The study load for this training is 9 hours, comprising 7 hours of training and an estimated 2 hours of preparation per course day. Questions, cases and assignments can be accessed through the online learning environment.

Completion

Throughout the course, we will assess active participation, correct application of the learned skills and the ability to apply what you have learned in practice. If you pass, you will receive a company-recognised certificate and your employer can appoint you to be a NEN 3140 Skilled Person.
