Introduction
Kickstart School’s 24-hour Elementary Dutch Language Course (A1->A2 - Stepping Stone I) reinforces and expands upon basic grammar, develops vocabulary, and focuses on improving fluency in speaking equipping you with the skills to handle everyday situations. Using a communicative approach, you will practise speaking in Dutch from the start (50% Dutch- 50% English). The maximum group size is 8 for online classes and 10 for face-to-face sessions. The course runs for a total of 24 hours. The course covers vocabulary, grammar, language functions, and culture. We apply the flipped classroom concept, requiring 2–3 hours of preparation before each class to ensure better learning outcomes.

The Advanced level (72 hours) consists of 3 blocks: A, B and C. You can develop and perfect your communicative competence and accuracy in Dutch by following any of the blocks (in no particular order). The 24-hour Advanced Dutch Language Course (B2 ->C1 - Advanced) concentrates on upgrading speaking skills whilst at the same time fine-tuning grammatical structures and nuances of the Dutch language. Geologie voor ingenieurs (CGF-G)
Leer om te gaan met geologische en geotechnische risico’s die cruciaal zijn voor bouwprojecten
Deze cursus benadrukt het belang van grondige grondonderzoeken en effectief risicobeheer op basis van de geologische geschiedenis van de locatie. Begrijp hoe geotechnische kenmerken van de locatie worden gevormd door deze geschiedenis, wat van invloed is op het succes van bouwprojecten. Ontdek praktische inzichten voor het ontwerpen van funderingen in complexe geologische omgevingen, waarbij de basisprincipes van geologie en gesteentemechanica worden behandeld. Verwerf vaardigheden om te navigeren door ruimtelijke variabiliteit en onverwachte bodemomstandigheden in grond- en funderingstechniek. Onderwezen door ervaren specialisten, maakt deze cursus deel uit van de CGF-cursussen van KIVI, die praktische kennis bieden voor het beheren van bouwprojecten in uiteenlopende geologische scenario’s.
Module 1. Inleiding tot geologie en geologie van Nederland (2 dagen)
Verken fundamentele geologische concepten, zowel op grote als kleine schaal, met een focus op afzettingsmilieus en oppervlakteprocessen.
Module 1 legt de nadruk op de “totale geologie” benadering, waarbij de diepgaande invloed van de geologische geschiedenis op gebouwde omgevingen wordt benadrukt. Verkrijg inzicht in het identificeren van risico’s, optimalisatie van grondonderzoeken en het construeren van geotechnische modellen op basis van verwachte geologische omstandigheden. Duik in de ondiepe en diepere geologie van Nederland, waarbij geologische formaties van het Carboon tot het Holoceen worden behandeld. Er wordt speciale aandacht besteed aan de Pleistocene en Holoceengeologie vanwege het belang ervan voor de ingenieurspraktijk in Nederland.
Module 2. Kenmerken van gesteenten en technisch-geologisch ontwerp (2 dagen)
Module 2 behandelt het onderscheid tussen gesteentemateriaal en massa-gedrag, principes van gesteentemechanica, en concepten van grondmassagedrag. Deelnemers leren technieken voor het testen van monsters, in-situ testen en methodologieën voor het classificeren van grondgedrag. Praktische sessies omvatten diverse laboratoriumtests in het Soil and Rock Laboratory van de TU-Delft. Onderwerpen omvatten ook het ontwerpen van locatieonderzoeken en het aanpakken van ruimtelijke onzekerheid. Er wordt speciale aandacht besteed aan het gebruik van digitale platforms voor geologische en geotechnische informatie in Nederland, met praktische oefeningen en nadruk op geofysische onderzoekstechnieken. Module 2 behandelt ook het ontwerpen met geologische expertise, waarbij specifieke ontwerpaspecten worden benadrukt waarbij geologische kennis cruciaal is.
Vereiste: Aantoonbaar geologie-onderwijs of het Certificaat van Module 1.
Module 3. Technisch-geologisch veldwerk in België (1 overnachting + 1 dag)
Een eendaags technisch-geologisch veldwerkbezoek aan de Belgische Ardennen om het begrip van gesteentemassa’s en geologische structuren te verbeteren. Leer hoe u verschillende gesteentetypes in het veld herkent en oefen met het identificeren van structurele geologische structuren en verwering. Deze praktijkervaring zal uw begrip van de geologie versterken en u helpen deze vaardigheden toe te passen in echte technische scenario’s.

Het belang van de totale geologische geschiedenis en de ontwikkeling van een geologisch model als basis voor locatie-evaluatie, grondonderzoek en funderingstechniek.
Gesteentemechanica: de overeenkomsten en verschillen met de grondmechanica, bekeken vanuit technisch oogpunt.
Classificatie van gesteente en rotsmassa’s en het gebruik van specifieke laboratoriumtests om de gesteente-eigenschappen te karakteriseren.
Hoe ruimtelijke variabiliteit en grondonderzoek in verschillende geologische omgevingen te benaderen.
De deelnemers doen praktijkervaring op met het testen van stenen en werken casestudies uit.
Veldbezoek in de Belgische Ardennen.
Bedoeld voor
Module 1 is gericht op geotechnische, constructieve en geohydrologische ingenieurs die expertise zoeken op het gebied van geologische overwegingen voor technische toepassingen.
Module 2 en 3 zijn gericht op geologen, geotechnische, constructieve en geohydrologische ingenieurs die praktische vaardigheden willen ontwikkelen in technieken voor locatieonderzoek en geotechnische analyse voor technische projecten met een sterke geologische component.

Onderwezen door ervaren specialisten, maakt deze cursus deel uit van de CGF-cursussen van KIVI, die praktische kennis bieden voor het beheren van bouwprojecten in uiteenlopende geologische scenario’s.
Module 1. Inleiding tot geologie en geologie van Nederland (2 dagen)
Verken fundamentele geologische concepten, zowel op grote als kleine schaal, met een focus op afzettingsmilieus en oppervlakteprocessen.
Module 1 legt de nadruk op de “totale geologie” benadering, waarbij de diepgaande invloed van de geologische geschiedenis op gebouwde omgevingen wordt benadrukt. Verkrijg inzicht in het identificeren van risico’s, optimalisatie van grondonderzoeken en het construeren van geotechnische modellen op basis van verwachte geologische omstandigheden. Duik in de ondiepe en diepere geologie van Nederland, waarbij geologische formaties van het Carboon tot het Holoceen worden behandeld. Er wordt speciale aandacht besteed aan de Pleistocene en Holoceengeologie vanwege het belang ervan voor de ingenieurspraktijk in Nederland.

Tijdens deze cursus komen de volgende onderwerpen aan bod:
Het belang van de totale geologische geschiedenis en de ontwikkeling van een geologisch model als basis voor locatie-evaluatie, grondonderzoek en funderingstechniek.
Hoe ruimtelijke variabiliteit en grondonderzoek in verschillende geologische omgevingen te benaderen.
De deelnemers doen praktijkervaring op met het testen van stenen en werken casestudies uit.
Bedoeld voor
Module 1 is gericht op geotechnische, constructieve en geohydrologische ingenieurs die expertise zoeken op het gebied van geologische overwegingen voor technische toepassingen.
Module 1 en 2 kunnen los gevolgd worden.

Deze cursus wordt in het Engels gegeven en is modulair te volgen.
