General information about the Master

The professional Master Agribusiness Development is the ideal environment for you if you want to be part of the Agrifood sector. A sector that is unique in its adaptability and rapid development of new concepts. To be successful, you need to be enterprising, to be experienced in dealing with widely differing business environments, and to be sensitive to the cultures of organizations and the people who shape them. This professional Master prepares you for this context. The programme is offered by Aeres University of Applied Sciences and is open for students with a Bachelor degree related to agriculture or agribusiness. Students with a Bachelor in Business and a strong interest in agribusiness can apply as well.
The study takes twelve months in which theory and practice are integrated. In this Master programme the student works on a business assignment for a Master Company and connects this assignment to the theory and to the research thesis. There are four phases: Free Mover, Young Potential, Manager and Researcher. Each phase starts with lectures at the university in Dronten: two weeks in September, three in November, two in January/February and two in April. In combination with the introduction week at the end of August this adds up to ten weeks at the university. The other weeks are spent at your Master Company.

After successfully completing this 12-month programme you will receive the professional Master degree in Agribusiness Development (MAD). This degree is a state-recognised Master of Science, validated and accredited by the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organisation.
