Target group: The OPITO-approved HUET training programme is designed for personnel travelling to offshore installations/vessels via helicopter. This course provides delegates with the necessary skills and knowledge in emergency response related to helicopter safety and escape using the emergency breathing system (EBS). Prerequisites: For attending the training the delegate should be: - Possess of a valid ID (passport or drivers licence) - Possess a valid, current offshore medical certificate incl the statement Fit for CA-EBS inwater training - The delegate should have done a longfunctiontest or Spirometry test. The medical certificate should be send to our customer service prior the date of the training. In case you do not have a spirometry test, this could be done on our training center before the training. - Training activities contained within this course may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel who participate in such activities must be capable of participating fully. Objective: This Product is to prepare learners that intend to travel to and from offshore installations and vessels by helicopter by providing specific training in pre-flight and in-flight requirements and to equip learners with the basic emergency response knowledge and skills required in the event of a helicopter emergency – with a specific focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching. The objectives of the HUET (with EBS) Training are that learners will be able to: a) Demonstrate, in a simulated environment, that they can use the safety equipment, and follow procedures in preparing for, and during helicopter emergencies – with particular focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching. Target group: This OPITO-approved BOSIET programme, with NOGEPA approval and Norwegian Oil & Gas acceptance, is designed for personnel who are new to the offshore oil and gas industry and are required to travel to offshore installations by helicopter. The course includes both Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) (OPITO 5750) training and Emergency Breathing System (EBS - CAT B) (OPITO 5700) training, meeting the requirements for personnel working in the Dutch, UK and Norwegian offshore sectors. As the use of an Emergency Breathing System (EBS) is mandatory for offshore personnel working in Norway and Norwegian waters, this combined programme ensures delegates comply with the latest Norwegian Oil & Gas requirements. Prerequisites: Before attending the course, delegates must: • Be in possession of a valid ID (passport or driver's licence). • Hold a valid offshore medical certificate, or an employer-approved equivalent, stating fitness for offshore work and in-water CA-EBS training. • Have completed a lung function (spirometry) test where required. If not available, this test can be carried out at the training centre before the course. • Be physically and mentally capable of participating in all practical exercises, including physically demanding and potentially stressful training activities. Medical certificates should be submitted to customer service prior to the training date. Objective: The OPITO-approved BOSIET provides delegates with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to travel safely to and work on offshore installations. The course includes both Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) (OPITO 5850) training and Emergency Breathing System (EBS - CAT B) (5858) training, ensuring compliance with the latest offshore safety requirements for the Dutch, UK and Norwegian sectors. As the use of an Emergency Breathing System (EBS) is mandatory for personnel working in Norway and Norwegian waters, this combined programme fully meets current Norwegian Oil & Gas requirements. The course provides delegates with the opportunity to practise and demonstrate emergency response skills that cannot normally be exercised during routine offshore drills. Upon successful completion, delegates will be able to: • Demonstrate the correct procedures for helicopter emergencies, including underwater escape. • Safely deploy and use both the Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) and the Emergency Breathing System (EBS - CAT B). • Demonstrate effective self-rescue techniques in smoke-filled and low-visibility environments. • Operate portable fire extinguishers safely and effectively. • Perform basic emergency first aid. • Refresh offshore emergency response skills in accordance with current OPITO, NOGEPA and Norwegian Oil & Gas requirements. Target group: Personnel traveling by helicopter to offshore installations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf who are required to use a CAT B Emergency Breathing System (EBS) Prerequisites: BOSIET/FOET/HUET CA-EBS (OPITO standard course) Objective: After completing the course, the participant shal have aquired knowlegde of preparations required for water emergency landing. The participant shall be able to use the emergency breathing system as an aid during underwater evacuation. The participant shall independenly exit a helicopter that has performed an emergency landing on water while submerged. The course is a Training Provider course in accordance with the requirements of BSL D 2‑3 §3a and the NOIA mutual acceptance. The Training Provider is accredited by Element NL for the Basic Safety Training (0.5 course) and quality is audited by Element NL.
