Algemeen :

During the three-day Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS®) course at Vijfhart, you will deepen your technical understanding of modern data centers. You’ll learn how to evaluate, optimize, and prepare a data center for future growth. This course is developed in collaboration with EPI, the global standard for data center services. By the end of the course, you will understand the complex relationships between infrastructure, safety, and reliability-and know how to apply this knowledge to ensure business continuity.

You will explore topics such as power supply, cooling, cabling, and (fire) safety in greater depth. In addition, you’ll learn about the data center design life cycle and how to assess and improve each phase effectively. You will gain insight into Tier levels for both design and maintenance, learn how to discuss detailed requirements with suppliers and vendors, read a Single Line Electrical Diagram, and ensure compliance with electromagnetic field standards and interference prevention.

You will be taught by experienced instructors from the field who work daily with data center design and infrastructure. They share their knowledge, real-world examples, and best practices-so you not only understand how things work in theory but also how to apply them in realistic professional situations.

Certification

After completing the course, you will be prepared for the internationally recognised EPI exam. The certificate is valid for three years.

Exam at the training location

As standard, you will take the exam at the training location on the final course day. The exam is delivered digitally via EXIN Online. You must bring your own laptop with a working browser and internet connection. The trainer will act as the exam supervisor.

Online exam at a later time

If you attend the course online via Microsoft Teams, are unable to be physically present on the final course day, or there is insufficient time to take the exam during the course, you will receive an EXIN Anywhere voucher. This allows you to take the exam online at a time of your choice.

Doel :

After completing this course, you will be able to technically assess data center designs, implement improvements, and ensure maximum reliability and safety. You will earn the globally recognized Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS®) certificate, which is valid for three years.

Doelgroep :

This course is intended for IT and facility professionals, data center administrators, designers, and consultants who are responsible for designing, managing, or optimizing data center environments.

Voorkennis :

The following prior knowledge is required: you have completed the Certified Data Center Professional - CDCP® (exam incl.) (English) course and successfully passed the corresponding CDCP exam and you hold a valid CDCP® certificate.
