Opleiding: Entering Enclosed Spaces on Board Ships Training
Target group:
Crew members and Emergency Response Team Members who can be deployed to work in confined spaces on board ships or can be assigned to the rescue teams.
Prerequisites:
STCW Basic Training
Objective:
Operational Training Program for Attendants, Entrants and Rescue Team Members aboard ships. Regulatory Basis on SOLAS III/19.3.6 and IMO Resolution MSC.581(110). The IMO recommendations emphasize practical competence in entry procedures, communication, atmospheric hazard recognition and prepared rescue arrangements using trained personnel and proper equipment.
Contents:
Theory regarding awareness of basic hazards, roles and responsibilities, and safety culture, as well as knowledge of procedures, PPE and equipment, attendant duties, and rescue principles. Practical training Workshops on Safe Entry, Atmospheric Awareness, and attendant operations. Followed by six practical scenario based exercises.
