Opleiding: E-learning Aerosol System Knowledge (EN)
Would you like to expand your knowledge of aerosol systems? You can do so with the Aerosol System Knowledge e‑learning.
Aerosol fire suppression systems are fire protection systems that use aerosol technology to combat fires. These systems generate a fine mist of solid aerosol particles that extinguish fires by suppressing flames through negative catalysis.
This interactive e‑learning combines text, videos, animations, and practice questions. You will learn how to design, implement, and manage an aerosol system. The course covers aerosol technology, aerosol generators, and fire suppression control systems, and shows you how to apply aerosol systems effectively in practice.
You can complete the e‑learning entirely at your own pace—wherever and whenever it suits you.
Over dit programma:
No prior education is required. A diploma as Fire Detection System Design Specialist (Projecteringsdeskundige Brandmeldinstallaties) is an advantage.
This training is offered at MBO (intermediate vocational) level. No specific exemption policy applies to this training.
The e‑learning takes approximately 16–20 hours to complete.
The e‑learning is concluded with two online examinations:
- Aerosol Systems – General
- Aerosol Systems – Design
Upon successful completion of both examinations, you will receive a certificate of participation.
Doelgroep:The Aerosol System Knowledge e‑learning is intended for system specialists and designers of aerosol fire suppression systems, also referred to as aerosol design and system engineers. These professionals work for fire protection companies and are responsible for designing aerosol fire suppression systems in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines.
Onderwerpen:The e‑learning covers the following topics:
- Introduction to aerosol fire suppression technology
- Aerosol generators
- Fire detection systems and suppression control panels
- System and quality requirements for fire detection systems (FDS)
- Design of aerosol fire suppression systems
- Commissioning, handover, management, and maintenance of aerosol fire suppression systems
After completing this e‑learning:
- you understand the operation, applicability, and safety aspects of aerosol fire suppression systems and can critically assess in which situations this technology can be applied effectively.
- you can explain the design, operation, and activation methods of aerosol generators and recognise different types in relation to their intended applications.
- you can explain how a fire detection system controls an aerosol fire suppression system and which technical and regulatory requirements are key to reliable detection and activation.
- you can design an aerosol fire suppression system based on standards, guidelines, and performance requirements, including calculations, system layout, and documentation for approval and implementation.
- you know what to consider when commissioning, handing over, managing, and maintaining an aerosol fire suppression system, ensuring long-term functionality and safety
