To successfully follow and complete this course, an affinity with technology or some technical work experience is desirable, but not necessary.

The course Electrotechnology Basic lasts 2 days.During this course you learn the essential principles of electrotechnology and how basic electrical circuits and components function. You learn to work safely, recognise components and perform simple electrical checks.You learn about:Basics of electrotechnology:- Voltage, current and resistance- Direct and alternating voltage- Series and parallel circuits- Ohm's law in practical applicationsComponents and installation parts:- Switches, lamps, fuses and circuit breakers- Cables, terminals and connection methods- Basic measuring instrumentsSafe working:- Identifying electrical risks- Performing simple measurements with a multimeter- Checking circuits for correct functioningAfter this course you understand basic electrical principles and can perform simple inspections and tasks safely.Read more on the website of ROVC.You finish the course with a digital exam. At the end of the course, you choose the place, date, and time of your exam. The exam must take place within 6 weeks after the last course meeting. After the exam, you will receive your result as soon as possible. If you pass the exam, you will receive a diploma.
