Coacing for introverts
Do you find it difficult to give your opinion in a meeting? Are you told at work that you are not visible enough? In many companies, extroverted behavior is highly valued. If you are a more introverted person, it can make you insecure, with the result that you find it even more difficult to assert yourself. That is very unfortunate because you leave qualities of yourself unused and your contribution is sorely missed. As a coach, I have a lot of experience in guiding more introverted people in increasing their self-confidence and personal effectiveness. I am an introvert myself.
Method
In an initial meeting free of charge, we get acquainted, together we investigate what your question is. In addition, it is important that we both feel that it 'clicks'. Then I can make a tailor-made offer. If applicable, there is a joint consultation with the manager at the start and completion. In practice, it appears that a course of about 6-8 sessions of 1.5 hours is sufficient for many people.
My approach is flexible and I tailor it to your question. Sometimes persistent patterns from your current life can be traced back to your family system. If you can face that, you experience room for different behaviour. Understanding patterns in communication and dealing with vulnerability is often discussed. I am inspired by the ideas of Transactional Analysis e.g. the drama and winner triangle). I am an experienced Voice Dialogue facilitator and love working with Voice Dialogue. Voice Dialogue is a method to guide people in getting to know their inner motivations better and to be able to use more sides of themselves. One side of ourselves that we often know well is the inner critic. If you understand that this subperson has his best interest at heart, you can deal with it more easily. Sometimes I step into the role of a training actor so that you can safely try out and investigate new behaviour. Above all, I do what suits you, your question, the situation and the moment.
What might the coaching bring?
Your self-knowledge and self-confidence increase. You have insight into the effect of your behaviour on others. You know your own manual and know how to deal with it effectively. This makes you better able to take care of yourself and deal with others more smoothly. You increase your clout and your impact increases.
