Opleiding: Foundation Coaching Skills

We provide a range of ICF / EMCC accredited training programmes that help people to become executive coaches or develop their leadership and coaching skills for more professional impact. Alongside coaching theory, concepts and techniques, participants learn from real-life coaching conversations and also have the opportunity to consider how coaching may form part of their style and approach as a leader or as a manager.

Foundations Coaching Skills programme objectives

• Develop core coach competencies.
• Understand the key skills and models for coaching and be able to apply these in a coaching relationship.
• Define coaching and understand the range of coaching styles.
• Understand the boundaries for a coaching relationship and how to contract effectively.
• Explore the importance of supervision within coaching.
• Learn to self-reflect and appraise coaching capabilities to identify areas for personal development in coaching, and plan for new Learning.

Accreditation/certification: EMCC EQA Award at Foundation Level

Requirements for accreditation:

• 3 days workshop
• 8 hours of coaching
• Concise portfolio
• Case study

The majority of the attendees continues with our programme EMCC Practitioner for the EMCC Practitioner Award either ICF ACC/PCC accreditation.

Requirements for the EMCC Practitioner Award
- 36 hours of coaching
- Group and co-supervision
- 2 book reviews
- 3 written assignments
- Practical exams
- Portfolio

Requirements ICF ACC accreditation: 

- At least 60 hours of coach-specific training through an ACTP or ACSTH program
- 10 hours of Mentor Coaching to be documented on your online application
- 100 hours (75 paid) of coaching experience with at least 8 clients following the start of your coach specific training. At least 25 of these hours occur within the 18 months prior to submitting the credential application
- 2 recorded coaching sessions with written verbatim
- Coach knowledge assessment
